Short version: we collect an email address, and โ if you buy โ the details needed to sell you a licence and let you download it. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone not listed below.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist: your email address, and the date you joined. That is the whole record.
If you create an account: your name, email address and avatar URL, as provided by GitHub or Google. We never receive your password for either.
If you buy a licence: your email address, a Stripe customer and payment identifier, and your licence keys along with when each was redeemed and how often. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never reach our servers.
Automatically: ordinary web-server request logs, and a short-lived rate-limit counter keyed by a hash of your IP address. There is no advertising or analytics cookie on this site.
What we do not collect
Anything from the applications you build. The template runs on your infrastructure and reports nothing back โ no telemetry, no phone-home, no usage collection. The only thing your machine sends us is a licence check when you scaffold or upgrade a project, which carries your key and nothing about the project.
Who processes it
These are every third party that receives personal data, and why:
- Stripe
- Payments. Card details go to Stripe directly and never touch our servers; we store the resulting customer and payment identifiers.
- Resend
- Transactional email โ your licence key, receipts, and waitlist confirmation. They see your email address and the message.
- GitHub and Google
- Sign-in, if you use it. We receive your name, email address and avatar from whichever you choose.
- Vercel
- Hosting and Speed Insights. Standard request logs, plus anonymous page-performance measurements with no cookie and no cross-site identifier.
- Neon
- The Postgres database everything above is stored in.
- Upstash
- Rate limiting. Holds a counter keyed by a hash of your IP address, briefly.
- Cloudflare R2
- Release downloads. Serves the template tarball to a signed URL after your licence is checked.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries until you ask us to remove them, or until the waitlist is retired. Account and licence records for as long as the licence exists โ a perpetual licence needs a record to be honoured against. Request logs are kept by our host on their schedule, in the order of weeks.
Your choices
Ask and we will tell you exactly what we hold, correct it, or delete it. Deleting an account deletes the licences attached to it, which means losing access to downloads โ we will say so before doing it rather than after.
